Did you ever have something you always wanted to do, but never seemed to accomplish it? You get inspiration that at that moment seems like the best ideas you ever had but you just never seemed to follow through with what you started.
Do you wake up in the middle of the night with a great idea but never get up and make sure that you remember it? I probably solved the problems of the world 10 times in my sleep but never remembered how I did it. During the last two years I have been writing them down, sketching them out and recording tem to see if they are worth saving. If nothing else, I have my creative juices flowing again.
With a little help from my friends, I hope to "finish what I started, this time around".

A couple of years ago I decided to get back to music again after giving it up for over 15 years. I started getting a lot of ideas for songs and musical projects but I had to make a commitment to follow through or not do it at all. So here it is....
As I started to write and develop ideas, it became clear that although a similar style was coming through, different types of music were coming into my head. I wanted the freedom to create different moods, emotions, styles and techniques.
My goal was not to start a band, be a star, or land a major record deal. (Although I would listen to offers) I went through that hell many years ago. My goal is to have fun, improve my skills, and if I can, interest some publishers or other artists...well that would be great.
I started Genre Music as a project based site to serve as a library to share with anyone who is interested. It is an outlet for my music and creative endeavors. In the future I hope to add other artists to the site as well.
Right now I am working on a Progressive Jazz CD project that I hope to complete by the spring/summer 2008. I have some amazing players lined up to help me out.
Be my guest to browse though the entire site and links and let me know what you think
