Mikhal Caldwell

Mikhal and I met through MySpace. We have since become good friends. He is going to be playing on my Genre Project CD that I hope to finsh by the summer of 2008. Mikhal has been one of my  inspirations to seriously get back into music again and I thank him for that. He has since turned me on to other amazing musicians who are in his network of friends. I have recently completed my work on his new CD "Ethis vs Logics" being released in March 08. Mikhal is a serious fusion guitar player and samples of his work can be found by clicking on his picture to go to his site.
Cheikh Ndoye

Cheikh and I connected through Mikhal Caldwell. We are both playing on Mikhal's new CD. Cheikh is an amazing bass player and a great person to know. He has played with some great musicans and has just completed his solo CD called " A Child's Tale". Please check out his music at his site by clicking on his picture which will link you to his site.

Eddie Kohen

Eddie and I met through Mikhal Caldwell and we have become good friends. Much of the material I write incorporates fretless bass samples a lot. To find a fretless player especially with the great chops that Eddie has is remarkable to me. Eddie will be playing on my upcoming project and I will be contributing to his solo project as well. Both of us are really into our local sports teams (Philadelphia and Detroit) and sports in general so as the sports seasons change, so do our conversations. Please check out Eddie's works by clicking on his picture that will link you to his page.

Paul Simeone

Paul and I have been friends for a long time. We played in a band together some years ago. Paul is a drummer and plays in a band called The Mandell's 68.

J. Paul Simeone is a professional photographer with extraordinary vision, sensitivity and insatiable curiosity. Simply put, he creates winning images which sell products. And his work has appeared in just about every mass medium for over 25 years. Art directors are drawn to Paul because he listens to their concepts and interprets them with flawless technique and brilliance.

You may want to check out Paul's "Legends of Rock" collection on his site. His private collection has never before been published. His consuming passion for  music drew him, and his camera, to performances at many venues. His brilliant, insightful images capture the raw energy and excitement of live performance as well as the intimate off-stage moments which few are privileged to witness. Culled from thousands of negatives, he has selected a handful of his unique photographs to be made available to collectors at this time. Just click on his picture to preview his extraordinary work.
Links to gear, software and suppliers that I have used...

I will be adding more friends as I continue to develop the site. There are so many that I have known for a long time and some new one's that I hope will be long time friends as well.
Gene Leone

Gene and I have known each other since high school and played in bands and collaborated on many musical projects over the years. Gene is a professional audio engineer and is well respected in that field. If you viewed my "bio" page you would have noticed that Gene was the drummer on many of the bands that I was in over the years. He is a great drummer too.

Check out his work at Gene's my space page by clicking on his picture.
Sweetwater is a great place to get the best gear and musical and recording software I have found. I have spent quite a few bucks with them and thay have everything you need...and I mean everything. My sales engineer is Austin Moss and he has been a great help when I need equipment or recording gear and software. He can be cotacted at: austin_moss@sweetwater.com. Click on the Sweetwater icon if you want to check out the site.
I have been a "Roland guy" for years. I have owned and used many Roland keyboards and Modules over the years. Actually my favorite module is the JV-880.I have owned and used two of them with expansion boards in them for many of the songs that I have written and played on for other artists. I have no endorsements from Roland so this is just a testimonial of my own for the quality of their equipment and design. Click on the logo to go to the Roland site.
I resisted software instruments for a long time but I must say that Steinberg makes some of the best. I have several of their "virtual instruments." I use Groove Agent, The Grand, Halion String Edition and both Virtual Guitars. It takes a little patience to use them right and get the most out of them and in actuality I am just scratching the surface of a couple of them. They have superb sound quality and the user interfaces continue to improve. Check them out.

I have been using Cakewalk products since Pro Audio 9. I am now up to Sonar 6 and I still find the software to be the most user friendly and I have tried them all. Their software plug-ins and effects have improved greatly over the years. I work with many other musicians adding tracks on projects via the Internet. We are all on the same system and it makes it very easy to make great music together

*I am not sponsored nor do I have any endorsements for any of the above suppliers or instruments. I wanted to include the links to them because they have served me well in the past and other musicans should be aware of them.
